Service Description

I will have my Fleet of Ashford Wheels available for participants to learn the basics of how to spin using a treadle wheel as well as electric Spinning Wheels. We will discuss wool preparation and how it plays a role in spinning and how to prepare fiber to get the yarn you want. We will also discuss different types of wool and how different breeds of sheep can have their own unique purposes in finished goods. We will get hands on with the different types of wheels, how they work, scotch and irish tension, single and double treadle wheels, Single and double drive wheels. Those that are interested in purchasing one of the wheels they try will receive a 5% discount on ordering the wheel of their choice. Limited to 6 participants. Minimum of 2 participants.
